Gotland Pride 2020

9-14 November

Gotland Pride 2020 begins Monday, November 9, with the usual opening ceremony which this year will take place online, and the festival will last until Saturday, November 14.

Due to Covid-19, the present Pride will have both digital items on the program and physical ones on a smaller scale. The theme this year will concern connection, networking, our local community and the development of the movement, both globally and nationally.

We will arrange fikas, After work-meetings, discussion evenings, lectures and workshops with organizers from all of Sweden.

This year, as in the past, the prize Årets Regnbågsbagge (Rainbow Ram of the Year) will be presented at the opening ceremony. Årets Regnbågsbagge is conferred on a person, an activity or an organization, which, apart from its ordinary employment, devotes itself to emphasizing lgbtqia+ issues.

Former recipients of the prize were Fenix Ungkulturhus, Visby Cathedral Parish, Mariancila Kim and Lila shala, the Almedalen Library, the Gotland County Theatre, the Gotland Youth Guidance Center, Eric Fugeläng and Ulla Lundberg.

Nominations for the prize should be sent to pride@gotlandpride.se no later than October 30.

If you wish to arrange an item in the program, it is possible to register no later than October 30.

Let's take care of each other

We can minimise the spread of covid-19 together.

This is how you can help:

  • Stay at home if you are feeling ill, even with mild symptoms.
  • Wash your hands often with hot water and soap, for at least 20 seconds.
  • Keep your distance from other people both indoors and outdoors.
